Trading since January 2003 as Landscaping Supplies Ltd. and Travertine Warehouse, we chose the opportunity to combine our internal and external branches into one when we moved to our new premises at Anchorage Park in Portsmouth. An entirely new location built from scratch and finished to our own exacting specifications to give us an excellent new platform to operate from.

In our early years we were a small importer, shipping around 10 to 15 containers of sandstone a year and selling on to local landscapers and DIY-ers. We quickly grew and with support from those first few customers we have become one of the largest importers of stone products in the UK, yet still looking after those dependable customers from early on.

As a major importer of natural stone and timber products we can provide excellent quality to the trade and public at unbeatable value.

Our close relationship with our suppliers around the world means we get the best quality products at exceptional rates which we can pass on to our customers directly. Last year alone we imported more than 5,000 tonnes of natural stone from India, China and Turkey, which broken down means some 42,000 square metres of tiles, 38,500 square metres of paving and over 6000 railway sleepers from Canada and Europe. These impressive numbers really go to show that we are a dependable stockist with proven, quality products and are really focused on passing excellent quality and service to all of our customers time and time again.

Whether a small bathroom renovation or an industrial scale re-development, we are always able to offer an affordable solution whatever your needs. We are now one of the best known exporters to the Channel Islands and France and have been involved with many large scale shipments further afield to Bulgaria, Switzerland, Scandinavia and Greece.

Deliveries

Deliveries

Local Deliveries:

For local deliveries (PO,SO and some GU postal codes) we have our own 18.5 and 7.5 tonne trucks with crane off load facility. All of our deliveries are kerb-side only, but the delivery driver is ultimately responsible for where they can sensibly offload. The drivers' decision is final when deciding what is a safe unload and/or delivery.

Please inform us when ordering if there are likely to be any problems for a vehicle of this size to access your site. The flowing questions should help to determine if there will be any delivery issues. If you answer yes to any of them let us know and we can try and find an alternate delivery method. Informing us of this at the time of ordering will allow us to pack and ship the pallets accordingly and could prevent delivery issues. It is your responsibility to ensure materials are on site prior to commencement of your project.

National Deliveries:

We can deliver anywhere in the United Kingdom using one of the very reliable pallet delivery networks. These deliveries will be made on an 18 tonne tail lift truck with a pallet truck. Please inform us when ordering if there are likely to be any problems for a vehicle of this size to access your site. The flowing questions should help to determine if there will be any delivery issues. If you answer yes to any of them let us know and we can try and find an alternate delivery method. Informing us of this at the time of ordering will allow us to pack and ship the pallets accordingly and could prevent delivery issues.

Our deliveries are sent on an economy service which usually takes 2 working days to arrive from the placement of your order. Orders taken after 1pm Monday to Friday will be sent out the following working day. Your order will be delivered between 08:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday on the day you agree with your sales person. Next day delivery is available to some postcode areas at an additional cost. Some locations such as the Channel Islands and the Scottish Highlands and islands will have a slightly longer delivery time. Our delivery company is not able to give accurate delivery times for the day of delivery so we ask that you have someone on site to sign for the delivery

We will require a phone number which will only be used if the haulage company has a problem locating your property or making the delivery or if you would like a call prior to delivery. If the driver is unable to gain access to your site your delivery will be returned to the local depot where you will be required to make alternate arrangements for delivery at your expense.

All our deliveries are classed as kerbside only, meaning they will be delivered to the nearest safe point on your property. You will need to make sure you have sufficient manpower available to move the products you have ordered. The driver will not be able to do this for you. As our deliveries are made using a pallet truck and our pallets are very heavy we are not able to deliver pallets on to gravel driveways or soft surface such as grass or soil. We can only deliver onto hard, level, smooth surfaces such concrete or block paving.

When your delivery arrives always check that you have received the correct products and that you are happy with everything while the driver is still on site, they have been informed to wait for up to ten minutes whilst you do this. If you fail to do so, or if you sign the delivery note as unchecked, you will waiver all rights and any additional delivery costs will be charged. Any damage or shortfall must be reported to us within 48 hours of delivery. It is your responsibility to ensure materials are on site prior to commencement of your project.

International:

We are able to provide deliveries to France and the rest of mainland Europe and Scandinavia. These deliveries will generally be made on an 18 tonne tail lift truck with a pallet truck. Delivery times to Europe and Scandinavia vary a little but take in the order of a week. We will require a date range where you are able to take the delivery as delivery on a specific day is not always possible. The delivery company will not attempt to make the delivery until they have spoken to someone at the delivery site to agree a day and ensure there will be adequate people on site to recieve the delivery.
