It is often said that a wooden floor is laid for life. This is, however, only true if the wooden floor is properly maintained and protected. A wooden floor differs from a ceramic tile or natural stone floor, in the sense that with a wooden floor it is the maintenance and protection which determine the life of the floor. Often this is dependent on the end user using the appropriate and specific cleaning/maintenance product in relation to the finish of the floor.
Customers of Restore My Floor were always left with a bottle of floor cleaner specific to their floors finish but never seemed to contact us to re-order when they had run out. When a number of customers were questioned about this the feedback was that they didn’t want to trouble the installer for a couple of bottles of cleaner but would prefer to be able to purchase products from a shop or on-line as and when they needed them.
The problem was that a lot of the professional finishes used on their floors were only available from trade outlets. As a solution to this problem we formed Wood Floor Cleaner.co.uk. - a single site where members of the public could browse specialist floor products and purchase cleaning and maintenance products specific to their floor finish usually only available to people in the flooring trade.
